Man Accidentally Fires Gun From Pocket in Walmart, Continues Shopping

Christopher Strube was shopping at a Walmart in Centerville, Iowa, on Sunday when a .45-caliber handgun inside his pants accidentally went off.

According to the Centerville Police Department, Strube was carrying a bottle that hit the gun and caused it to fire one round. He continued shopping, paid for his items and left the store.

An unidentified person called the police and reported the gunshot as well as a display in the Walmart that had fallen, notes the Daily Iowegian.

Later, police found a bullet hole in a basket holding cans of beans. A.45-caliber bullet was found in one of the bean cans.

Strube was arrested on Monday and charged with discharging a weapon within city limits, reports The Register-Herald.com.

The 50 year old, who has a valid concealed carry permit, is scheduled to appear in court on November 26.

SUSPECT CAUGHT 15 MINUTES AFTER COMMENTING "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN" ON POLICE FACEBOOK

A burglary suspect in Texas was arrested not 15 minutes after posting a taunt to a police department Facebook page. Police say that Damian and Rolando Lozano allegedly burglarized 17 cars in one community on Sunday (November 17th). Officers arrest Damian, but Rolando was still on the loose. The police posted his picture to ask the public for help. Lozano responded by telling them to catch him if they can. The police caught him less than 15 minutes later. (Huffington Post)
