Eli Young Band has the newly crowned #1country album this week with 10,000 Towns.  Eric Church’s The Outsiders holds steady in second place.  David Nail comes in third with I’m a Fire.  Dierks Bentley dropped from the top spot to #4 and Luke Bryan drops one place to the fifth position on the charts with Crash My Party.

Trace Adkins made a surprise appearance on the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night.  It was his first appearance since his stint in rehab.

Florida Georgia Line is the latest country act to join the Outnumber Hunger campaign.  They, along with other participating artists, will be featured on specially marked boxes of General Mills products.  By entering a code from those boxes online, Feeding America will provide five meals on behalf of a local food bank based upon the ZIP code entered.

Hunter Hayes will go for the Guinness World Record for the most performances in a 24-hour period to raise awareness of child hunger.  He’ll start on May 9th with an 8 AM performance on Good Morning America.  The marathon will end at 5 AM the following day with a show in Philadelphia.  Alternative rock group, The Flaming Lips, currently holds the record of eight shows in one day.  Hunter is going for ten.

It’s been almost two years since Josh Turner released his last album.  He’s been working on a new one, but he’s having a hard time finding the right songs to record.   No word on when we can expect a new album, but his new book comes out on April 29th.

Bullpen members are enjoying a special pre-sale for Brad Paisley tickets today.  The show goes on sale to the general public tomorrow at 10 AM.  Brad’s Atlanta show is scheduled for June 22nd at Aarons Amphitheatre.
