You work out.  And you work out.  But you're not losing any pounds?  What’s the matter, you say?  Personal trainer Nardia Norman, author of “Fat Attack: The Secrets Behind The World’s Biggest Loser,” says these are some possible reasons:

•You're not working out hard enough.  Leave the magazine at home and push yourself on that treadmill.

•Guys, scrap the 'vanity' exercises, such as arm and leg curls that you think make you look good.

•Quantity isn't quality: “The more you train, the more the quality of your workouts will decrease,” says Norman, “So cut back on the overall amount, but make every session count.”

•You don't have a weight-loss plan: Figure out just how you're going to get to your goal weight, and train for achieving it.  Get a program together.

•You don't have a goal: The solution is to figure out what’s really driving you, what’s going to motivate and inspire you, then stick to it.

Norman says, "You can fool yourself, but when you’re tired and you don’t want to get up and train, or you really want that bit of cake, your ‘why’ has to be powerful and inspirational enough that you can avoid all the temptation."
