Cuddling Group Changes Conversation About Trauma

It's weird, but members of the Men's Therapeutic Group says that cuddling has helped them cope with everything from childhood sexual abuse to the loss of family members. The group has been around for two years and has multiple members.

“So often, we’re taught that to be an emotional stoic is the mark of manhood,” said Scott Turner, an interior designer and co-founder of the group. “If you show any emotional weakness or vulnerability, that’s a failure to your title of a man.”

The guidelines highlight ways where traditional views of masculinity, such as men are tough and don't cry, harm their emotional and physical health.
