A Louisiana woman is probably feeling a little bit sick after a visit from cops, who busted her for selling fake doctor's notes to kids looking to skip school.
Brenda Gail Fondren had been peddling the excuses for 20 bucks a pop. She got away with it until school officials got suspicious and called the office of the doctor whose notepad she was using. The physician was baffled until he remembered that Fondren had been an employee of his.
The good doctor told deputies that he believed the 52-year-old was probably responsible for the forgeries. She was confronted and confessed, It might sound like a silly infraction, but if convicted, Fondren could face five years in prison.
