Georgia Suspect Leaves Winning Lottery Ticket Behind

In a Facebook post Canton police are hoping to a fleeing suspect will claim the winning $100 lottery ticket he left in his vehicle.

In the post, Cherokee Sheriff's Office shared a picture of the scratch off and wrote, "To the suspect who ran on foot from our deputies on a traffic stop this morning on I-75, you left a winning $100 lottery ticket in your vehicle. You can claim your ticket at 498 Chattin Dr. in Canton. It will be here waiting for you. Congratulations by the way."

The police also found a laptop and some meth in a backpack inside the car too.

UPDATE: He was captured shortly after the Facebook post and charged with possession of methamphetamine and obstruction. Cherokee County Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Jay Baker told CNN, "When he bonds out of jail or gets done with these charges, we'll certainly return that lottery ticket but we're keeping the methamphetamine."

I wonder how true this comment was on the post:
