Pregnant Atlanta Woman Saves Husband From Shark Attack

An Atlanta couple is thanking the Lord they are alive after a shark attack in the Florida Key's could've killed them both.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Andrew Eddy was on a private boat with his pregnant wife, Margot Dukes Eddy, off the Florida Keys when the unthinkable happened. Andrew hopped in the water to snorkel with the group they where with, and a shark clamped down on his shoulder.

Without even thinking, Margot said she leaped into the water and fought off the shark. She then swam her husband back to the boat. By the time medical staff got to him, he was in critical condition. She was unharmed in the scuffle with nature. He was then airlifted to a Miami hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

There where other boaters in the Sombrero Reef area who reported an 8 to 9 ft Bull shark lurking around. Experts believe is was a Bull shark that bit Mr. Eddy.

Florida has the most unprovoked shark attacks in the world-last year with 21.That area is one of the most dangerous in the world. I think I'll pass on snorkeling in the Keys then! Glad he was ok!
