Braves Break 17-Year "Golden Glove" Drought With Max Fried

Braves Pitcher Max Fried just added a "Golden Glove" to his resume and broke the 17-year long drought for Atlanta.

Fried solidified himself as one other best pitches in the MLB over the shortened 2020 season. He lead the Braves to the NLCS and almost a World Series. He grabbed seven wins this season and had one of the lowest ERA’s in all of Major League Baseball. That's what got him the coveted "Golden Glove" for 2020 and he's a strong front runner for the Cy Young awards as well.

Mike Hampton was the last Braves to win the "Golden Glove" in 2003. Rawlings awards the best fielder at a given position in their respective league during the season with the prestigious award.

Other notable Braves pitchers that have taken home the honor:

Mike Hampton, 2003, Greg Maddux, 1993-2002, Phil Niekro, 1978-83
