California Man Pulls A James bond Escape From FBI

After a short chase, a millionaire wanted for a Ponzi scheme, went underwater in a submersible vehicle to get away.

Straight out of a Bond film, a California man, 44-year-old Matthew Piercey, took the FBI on a chase after being indicted on a $35million Ponzi scheme. Agents showed up at his home before he fled in a vehicle, shortly after he ditched the car and jumped into a nearby lake with a submersible vehicle.

As bad ass as it sounds, he couldn't out run the FBI's patience because they waited for about 25 mins before he resurfaced and still arrested him.

Piercy took advantage of his church members in Redding, CA to steal their money in the scheme. He is charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and witness tampering and faces 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
