Dekalb County will hold another huge food distribution event this Saturday March 27th. 3,600 care baskets will be given out to people struggling with food insecurities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each food basket will include a 20-pound box of fruit and vegetables and a 10-pound package of chicken, plus a dozen “Georgia grown Grade A eggs”, just in time for Easter.
The baskets will be handed out first come first served.
This is the county's 15th food distribution event, which is funded through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act money.
