Morgan Wallen Follows Through On Promise

Last week, Rolling Stone reported that Morgan Wallen hadn't seemed to follow through with his pledge of donating $500,000 to Black-led initiatives. His record label and management have clarified that he has indeed made good on his promise.

In April, Morgan donated $300,000 to the Black Music Action Coalition in the names of the 20 people who counseled him after his racial slur incident. Morgan even specified that the donations could stay with the coalition or they could go to the organization of their choice.

His label then donated $100,000 to Rock Against Racism in Morgan's name.

The remaining $100,000 is earmarked for disbursement by the end of the year to other Black organizations.

It would have been nice to have read an article praising Morgan for his efforts in raising a bunch of money for the flood victims in Middle Tennessee. So let's go ahead and do that.

Let's give a standing ovation to Morgan and others including HARDY, Dierks Bentley and Cole Swindell. On September 8th, the Morgan Wallen & Friends Benefit Concert raised an incredible $725,000 for the families who have been devastated by the recent floods in Tennessee. And get this, he pulled the concert together in just SIX days.

Pretty impressive and greatly appreciated.
