Cop Decides To Not Write Ticket After Seeing Note On Windshield

A Wausau, Wisconsin police officer was about to write a ticket for a car illegally parked overnight but before he could write up the ticket he noticed a note on the windshield.

The handwritten note on the car owner's windshield read, "Please take pity on me. I walked home... Safe Choices."

The officer, impressed by the decision, decided not to write a ticket and only leave a warning.

The car owner posted a photo of his note and the warning he got. The Wausau police department also shared it on Facebook. The owner got out of a $5 ticket but more importantly, helped spread the word about not driving under the influence.
