Lauren Alaina kicked off the weekend with an anthem that meets listeners at the intersection of “heartbreak” and “happy hour.”

Alaina, 31, marked her first new music release of 2026 with “Raining Whiskey.” Ben Johnson, Hunter Phelps, Jordan Minton, Geoff Warburton and VWillz teamed up to write the infectious anthem, which follows Alaina’s hit single “All My Exes” with Chase Matthew. Alaina said “Raining Whiskey” doesn’t reflect the current chapter of her life; however, that doesn’t stop the Georgia-born country star from “tapping into her most melodic and sassy era yet,” states a press release issued Friday (April 17).

“'Raining Whiskey' is what happens when heartbreak meets happy hour,” Alaina said in a statement. “It represents a completely different stage of my life than the one I am in now, but it reflects one that I'm glad I lived through. I am happy to finally be able to tell the story of my twenties while living a new chapter in my thirties.”

“Raining Whiskey” follows “All My Exes,” “Those Kind Of Women,” “Household,” “Heaven Sent” and “Little Things.” Alaina is gearing up for a long list of performance dates, including a show on April 25 at the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium. Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Zach Top are also taking the stage. After that, Alaina will join the ACM Lifting Lives Country on the Green: Riley Green & Friends lineup, featuring headliner Riley Green with Randy Houser and Rodney Atkins. Throughout the summer, Alaina will join Darius Rucker on his headlining “Songs of Summer Tour.”

Alaina is also part of the star-studded lineup of the 2026 iHeartCountry Festival, along with Carly Pearce, Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, Shaboozey, Dylan Scott, Russell Dickerson, Gretchen Wilson and Chase Matthew, plus special guest George Birge. Alaina will also perform during the free Daytime Village show, along with Matthew, Birge, RaeLynn and Josh Ross. iHeartRadio's Bobby Bones is returning as the 2026 iHeartCountry Festival’s host. The show will take place on May 2 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Tickets to the show are available on Ticketmaster.com.
