Kip Moore just released the lead single of his forthcoming studio album titled, âSheâs Mineâ on Friday (August 9). The new single written by Moore himself alongside Dan Couch and Scott Stepakoff, is the first taste heâs given fans at whatâs to come.
âI wrote this song at a time in my life when I realized that my life was flipped upside down and I didnât even know which way was up,â Moore shares. âEvery experience from there forward, I felt like everything was going to be a surprise. I didnât know where I was going to end up, who I was going to meet or who I was going to be with. Iâm fired up to be getting new music out there, and this song is just the beginning. I know the fans are ready and so am I.â
An album release date has yet to be announced, although Moore shares with Rolling Stone that the album will heavily reflect how heâs âstill as wild as a tumbleweed as Iâve ever been.â He dives deeper saying, âI have no idea where I am going to end up, or what the next chapter of my life is going to look like. Not to scare people, but I donât even know what music looks like for me in five years. I have all kinds of crazy ideas and mission work I want to do. Iâm always chasing passion, and the minute I donât feel passion I let it go and start a new chapter.â
To summarize the album as a whole, he shares, âToo often we just kind of float by, and nobody is taking time to really think. And thatâs reflected on this record. There is a lot of weight on this project as a whole.â
Stay tuned for more details to be released on the new project. In the meantime, Moore will kick off his six-date âBud Light Dive Bar Tourâ on August 15 in Detroit, MI. Heâll also continue his popular âRoom To Spare: Acoustic Tourâ for a third leg. Special guests, Tucker Beathard, Devin Dawson and Kylie Morgan will also join Moore for select dates.
âSheâs Mineâ follows up previous singles like âMore Girls Like You,â âLast Shot,â and âThe Bullâ off his 2017 studio album, Slowheart. Take a listen to Mooreâs new track below.
