Fans attending the Atlanta Hawks game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday (November 16) are in for a fun musical surprise after Jeezy was tapped to perform during the halftime show.
According to Atlanta News First, the rapper is set to perform some of his hits during halftime of the upcoming matchup. Though originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Jeezy moved to Atlanta when he was young where he began making a career for himself, including several Grammy nods and wins from the BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards.
Jeezy is no stranger to the Hawks, and has been seen attending games over the years and even previously performed a halftime show in 2017. Tickets for Wednesday's game, which will also air on ESPN, are still available for purchase.
The SNOFALL rapper is also gearing up to headline Miami's Funk Fest to ring in the new year alongside Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jazmine Sullivan and many more set to take the stage during the two-day superstar event.
In addition to his professional success in 2022, this has also been a big year for Jeezy, born Jay Wayne Jenkins, in his personal life. He and wife Jeannie Mai Jenkins welcomed their first child together in January, a baby girl named Monaco.
