Childhood Cancer Awareness Month - Meet the PBTF STARS

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit solely dedicated to the pediatric brain tumor community. By investing in family support programs and more than $30 million in research over the past three decades, they serve the 28,000+ children and teens in the United States, 13 diagnosed per day, who are living with the diagnosis of a brain tumor.

I have had the privilege of meeting and honestly, falling in love, with many of these kids and their families. Here are a few of their stories. You will see they are just ordinary kids with extraordinary courage!

Justin is 15 and has Medulloblastoma, a fast-growing, high-grade malignant cancer.  He loves building things with Legos. He also loves watching movies, playing video games, and swimming.

Janiya Alexander is 16. She was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma Oct 2016. She  loves dancing and is in ROTC. .

Abigail Tatumis 13. She was diagnosed with  Astrocytoma Feb 2017. She named her tumor George as a way to cope! She loves cheerleading!
