Kenny Chesney Explains The Definition Behind His 2020 Tour

Kenny Chesney just announced his 2020 Chillaxification Tour heading to 20 major stadiums with Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion, and Michael Franti & Spearhead as special guests. Chesney called into The Bobby Bones Show to talk about the new tour and what he's been up two for the past year.

Chesney's tour name "Chillaxification" has gotten lots of questions due to it being a made up word. He said that his definition of the word is basically a prescribed drug to "get rid of all the crap going on in the world [...] with music thrown in." He was asked about unexpected costs on tour, Chesney confessed that he tries not to think about it too much, because it overwhelms him. He knows where his money is going from meetings and his people, but he says he wouldn't have the energy to go up and perform every day if he had to keep track of all of it.

When not out touring stadiums, Chesney's latest Netflix addiction is the show "Succession" and suggests everyone watch it. He also shared some details about his latest song "Tip Of My Tongue" that he co-wrote with Ed Sheeran. Chesney and Sheeran met because of the person who promotes both of their shows. Chesney said that once they got in a room together it was really easy and things started flowing quickly. Chesney told Sheeran the idea for "Tip Of My Tongue" from many years ago that came from a true story with a woman. Sheeran immediately took the story and turned it into lyrics.
