The EDM hitmaker who took 2013âs âHey Brotherâ to country music prominence has been found dead.
Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, died Friday (April 20) in Muscat, Oman, his publicist has confirmed.
âThe family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given,â the publicist says in a statement.
âHey Brotherâ is featured on Aviciiâs 2013 album True, which Billboard calls âglistening country pop.â Bluegrass singer Dan Tyminski provides vocals on the track.
Additionally, Zac Brown appears on "Broken Arrows," a song from the Swedish DJ's sophomore album, Stories. He's also known for hits âSunshineâ with David Guetta, âLevelsâ and âWake Me Upââjust to name a few.
Avicii was 28.
