Dan Boudrie is a fisherman. He recently shared with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency about a strange find he had on a recent bass fishing excursion.
The agency shared the story on Facebook warning followers to “be careful when you reach your hand in a fish’s mouth.”
It's good advice because after Dan inspected his catch, he found a snake staring back at him.
"I thought it was cool but wondered how I would explain to an ER doc that I got bit by a snake from putting my fingers in a fish’s mouth."
Once the TWRA posted on Facebook, folks identified the snake as a common water snake, or a banded water snake, which is a nonvenomous species. Even still, a few admitted that they would have been terrified at the moment. I guess we can file this under - ANOTHER WEIRD THING IN 2020.
