Ohio Teen Uses Taser on Police Officer to Fulfill Bucket List Wish

Alyssa Elkins is a fighter. She's spent the past few years fighting for her life after she was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) – a group of rare, bone marrow disorders – and then leukemia.

After initially going into remission, Alyssa's cancer came back. Doctors had few treatment options available, so Alyssa made the difficult decision to stop treatment and try to enjoy the remainder of her time on Earth. Her mom told People,  “She now wants to let the Lord provide a miracle or live out her life doing the things she loves.”

So Alyssa put together the ultimate bucket list, and now tons of people are helping her cross everything off it! From trying on a spa day to getting a pet pig, Alyssa's list is awesome.

But one thing really stood out... She is fascinated with Tasers and when the local police department in Newark, OH heard about her wish, they gave her a chance to test one out on a police officer!

"It is unpleasant to say the least, but if for five seconds if it makes somebody's kind of dream come true, especially in her situation, I think it was well worth it," said Sgt. Doug Bline, who volunteered.

Alyssa described the experience as "awesome."
