Warning for Parents: New Internet Trend Sending Kids to the ER

Children all over the world are giving themselves second-degree burns doing the "salt and ice challenge." It's the latest internet craze that's leaving some kids in the hospital.

This new fad is where you rub salt and ice on your skin and see who can withstand the pain the longest. The dangers in this though are that the salt can drop the temperature of the ice to as low as 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit, which is like frostbite!

Pop Sugar reports that as evidence of their participation in the new challenge, kids are putting images on their social media to document it.
