Many people who read the story saw a lot of red flags, particularly concerning the mother's boyfriend.
Now, that man has been arrested, and Mariah's body has been found. Law enforcement officials announced divers recovered the child's body from a creek the day after they arrested her mother's live-in boyfriend, 32-year-old Earl Kimrey in connection with her disappearance.
