This Gingerbread-Bourbon Cocktail is a Christmas Game Changer!

Imagine yourself on Christmas day, surrounded by loved ones, snuggling in front of a fire, and sipping on THIS! This gingerbread bourbon hot toddy is the perfect post-Christmas dinner cocktail! Check it out:


What You Need: 

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger 
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg 
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice 
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 cup water 
  • 2 ounces bourbon 
  • 4 ounces hot water 
  • 1 slice of lemon 
  • Orange peel for garnish

What You Do:

Step 1: Make the gingerbread syrup by combining the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, molasses and water in a small pot over medium heat.

Step 2: Bring to a boil while stirring constantly with a whisk. Let the syrup boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Step 3: Pour the bourbon, hot water and 1 ounce of gingerbread syrup into a mug or glass.

Step 4: Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon and an orange peel for garnish. Cheers!
