Carrie Underwood Helps Officer In Hometown

Carrie Underwood is a hometown hero to the assistant police chief of Checotah, Oklahoma, who was injured in a rollover crash.

Carrie made a $10,000 donation under her married name of Carrie Fisher to a GoFundMe account set up for the officer, Justin Durett. Officer Durett was found pinned under his truck after it ran off the road and rolled over. He suffered a broken neck and has no feeling from his neck down. 

Officer Durett is 35 and the father of two children.

Carrie's C.A.T.S. foundation supports Checotah's Animal, Town and School needs.
