Joey Feek Solo Album To Be Released In April

A solo album by the late Joey Feek is set for release on April 7th. The record, If Not For You, comes a little over a year after her death from cervical cancer.

The album, described as “the traditional country album she always wanted to make,” will feature 12 songs, with physical copies coming with a 48-page booklet of stories and photo, written by Joey, her husband Rory Feek and their family.

Back in 2005 the record, which was originally titled Strong Enough to Cry, was sold in limited release only through the couple’s website and at their shows. “It’s one of the great joys of my life to dust these songs off and bring them to life again,” Rory writes in the booklet. “Not just the songs, but also the stories and the life of the special woman that these songs represent.”
