Dolly Parton helped a lot of people with her My People’s Fund, which she set up following the November wildfires that hit Sevier County in East Tennessee.  Dolly had pledged to send $1,000 a month for six months to those whose homes were destroyed, and in case you missed it, we now know that she was successful in helping 691 families devastated by the fires.  All in all, more than 80,000 donations were made to Dolly’s fund, with even more money raised through Dolly’s telethon.
