It’s no mystery why Brantley Gilbert is considered a prolific songwriter, he co-wrote 25 of the 26 songs on his latest album, The Devil Don’t Sleep.
The main reason Brantley says he writes so many great songs is because he doesn’t write “throwaways.” And if the singer/songwriter has a piece that’s not a great fit for him, he’ll pass it along to another artist.
According to Brantley, you can’t put time limits on writing great songs. “I don’t care if it takes ten hours or ten weeks,” Brantley says, “We’ll make it right.”
