While most Americans spent their Thanksgiving holiday surrounded by family, friends and great food, Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard decided to go under the knife.
Tyler spent part of his holiday in the hospital, recovering from back surgery. On Thanksgiving Day, his wife, Hayley, took to Instagram to share a photo of her husband in a hospital bed. She captioned the photo saying, "In addition to all the countless people and things I‘m grateful for, I’m so super grateful for this turkey and that he’s safely out of back surgery... Wish I had the video of him coming out of surgery entertaining the nurses by singing Michael Jackson."
A day later, Tyler was up and moving around. He even posted a hilarious video on Instagram, where he appears to be feeling the affects of strong pain medication. He also shed some light on the surgery in his caption, saying, "I am so thankful to have my back fixed and on its way to being 100 percent again.. I’ve been dealing with this for years and tried everything to avoid surgery, but I’m so glad It’s over."
This is the first time Tyler has had a few months off the road, so it might have been the only time he could have the surgery.
Hopefully it will be a quick road to recovery for the soon-to-be dad. His first child is due later this year.
FGL only has a couple dates on the books for next year, so it's good Tyler won't have to jump into a tour in the beginning of the new year.
