FGL & Bebe Rexha Have A New Record

Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha have beaten Sam Hunt. The duo’s “Meant To Be” tops “Billboard’s” Hot Country Songs chart for a 35thweek to take sole possession of the record for the most weeks at number one on that chart. Sam’s single “Body Like Back Road” previously held the record, at 34 weeks.

"I'm so honored to be a writer and an artist on this song," FGL’s Tyler Hubbard tells “Billboard.” "I'm thankful to just be one of the many people who put so much energy and effort into making music history."

Brian Kelley adds, “The power of music continues to blow our minds, and we are extremely humbled and thankful that 'Meant' has spent the better part of a year at the top,” noting, “The connection we feel with our fans through our music is extra special with this song."

If the record wasn’t impressive enough, FGL actually has three of the five longest-leading Hot Country Songs number ones, with “Cruise,” in third with 24 weeks, and “H.O.L.Y.” in fifth with 19 weeks.

Elsewhere on the country chart...

Jake Owen's "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” tops the Country Airplay chart, Jake's seventh Country Airplay number one

Luke Bryan's  “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” is at number 10 on the Country Airplay chart, Luke's 25th straight Top Ten hit. Only Carrie Underwood has more consecutive Top Tens, with 27.

ONE MORE THING! It looks like Tyler Hubbard's daughter Olivia may have inherited her father's musical talent. The singer's wife posted an adorable video of Olivia joining her dad on the piano. Check it out to the right.
