Carrie Underwood returns to sing the opening theme song for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” but it looks like we won’t be hearing the same song as last year.
Carrie shared a clip of a new theme song on social media, in which she sings “It’s Sunday night / America’s game on NBC / the home, the place to be / game on, game on / it’s Sunday night.”
This is the third new song Carrie has sung for the NFL. Previous “Sunday Night Football” themes include “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” which went to Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Oh Sunday Night,” which was a take on her Miranda Lambert collab “Somethin’ Bad.”
“Sunday Night Football” returns September 9th.
