FGL Believes In Mentoring New Songwriters

Florida Georgia Line has enjoyed a great deal of success in the six years since they broke out, but they don’t take any of it for granted.

“It never gets stale or complacent because we still feel like the new guys, in a sense of that excitement and what it means,” Tyler Hubbard tells “People.” “We love country music, period, we love country radio, we love our fans and it’s cool when all of that works.”

He adds, “It’s such an exciting level that we’re at and we’re just super grateful, super thankful. It’s a hell of a ride.”

The duo recently took part in a CMA Songwriters Series at The Novo in Los Angeles, performing their Tree Vibez Music writers Corey Crowder, RaeLynn and Canaan Smith, and more, and they say mentoring young songwriters is their way of paying it forward. Brian Kelley notes they are “more determined than ever” to help out new songwriters adding, “everybody needs a little help, a little mentor and you know, we’re always trying to learn something too from somebody.”
