Thomas Rhett is joining “The Voice” to mentor Kelly Clarkson’s team during the Battle Rounds, which kicked off last night. The episodes were shot back in August and Thomas says it was “really cool” to be able to help so many artists, all of whom have “different backgrounds.”
He notes that working with so many different people makes you, “adapt your advice based on the story that you knew from those people,” adding, “It was really nice to be able to kinda put on my artist hat and try to portray advice that I have learned honestly from just a bunch of error, and get to help them out in that way.”
As for working with Kelly, Thomas says he was “honored” to be asked, calling her “most phenomenal, flawless voices that I’ve ever heard.”
“The Voice” Battle Rounds with Thomas continue for another three episodes.
