Little Big Town hosts the CMT Music Awards for the second year in a row.
Karen Fairchild says hosting last year gave them a new perspective on how award shows work.
"We have great appreciation for people who have comedic timing and delivering things and keeping a show going and the energy flowing. That's the part that we bear the burden of, uh oh, we really want to live up to that expectation."
Jimi Westbrook says they picked up a few new skills by hosting the show.
"Trying to make the dialogue just feel natural. I think that's the most important thing and that's what we focus on and making it feel authentic to us. And saying it in a way that we would say it naturally."
