Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock earlier this month and people are still pretty shocked about the split. In a recent interview, Kelly talked about how important intimacy was between the two of them. And she often gushed about her husband.
People are still pretty shocked about the split. A source close to the couple told “Entertainment Tonight” that the pair decided to call it quits “after realizing the relationship hasn’t been working for a while."
“Kelly and Brandon work together non-stop and that became a contention in their relationship.”
The insider also shared that "Brandon is the Executive Producer of her show as well as her manager. Also, Kelly has always brought up wanting more children, which Brandon doesn't."
The source says the couple had hoped quarantining together in Montana would make things better, “but instead the change in environment was actually detrimental,” noting, “The constant time together seemed to make an already challenging situation worse.”
Finally the insider says starting the divorce process was something “they’d both been dreading," but adds, "Kelly knew she just needed to follow her heart and finally realized divorce was her only option."
Kelly was recently photographed walking her dog after the announcement about her divorce went public. She and Brandon still seem to have a deep respect for each other and that's the most important thing as they navigate through such a tough and heartbreaking situation.
