Kenny Chesney is a man who loves the Carribean Islands. He was blown away by the devastation that this Hurricane Irma has already done. It destroyed 95% of Barbuda and destroyed so many more islands to almost the point of no recovery.
Chesney is calling on his "No Shoes Nation" to be ready to help when he gets a plan in action that he working on to help the islands affected.
He wrote on Facebook, "As daylight is hitting the islands, and we’re really getting a sense of how bad this all is…I don’t know what to say. " That's when he was called to help and started working on a plan. He said, "I know the No Shoes Nation is mighty. They’ve dug in before... I have a feelin... they’ll be there again."
The devastation is unreal and it's only going to continue as it moves towards Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
The Red Cross is currently on site helping in Houston for Hurricane Harvey relief and will be heading to Florida after the storm as well. We'll continue to have ways to help on our site and you can text "Harvey" to 90999 and donate $10 to the Red Cross to help in advance of this next major storm.
Praying for everyone who is evacuating and who gets hit by this storm! God be with them.
