Hurricane Irma was downgraded to a Tropical Storm as it made it's way north into Georgia, but still had some devastating effects. Almost 900,00 are without power, and trees and towers down everywhere throughout the state.
If you walked out side... this dog pretty much describes us all:
Sadly a couple people where killed by falling trees, a 55-year-old man in Sandy Springs and the wife of former Cumming Chief Of Police, Nancy Eason, when a tree fell on their car.
Here are some pictures from around GA of the damage:

Ugh. Trees down on houses on my street in SE Atlanta. Big old majestic oaks came crashing down on three old homes. pic.twitter.com/D3RVNKgtH0— Richard Elliot (@RElliotWSB) September 12, 2017
Just one of the many trees down in Dekalb County. Senior Citizen living in this house knew the tree was about to fall, she stayed clear. pic.twitter.com/hSFQj4ubuJ— Alvin Bryant (@StoryTellerWSB) September 12, 2017
Please be safe and stay indoors if you can. These winds are pretty serious and the flooding is dangerous as well!
