1st Grader Has Same Text Book That Blake Shelton Used

7-year-old Marley Parker got pretty excited when he opened up her 1st grade textbook and saw a famous country artists' name written in the cover.

Parker is a 1st grader at Latta Elementary School in Ada, Oklahoma and recently noticed her textbook had previously been used by "The Voice" judge and country superstar Blake Shelton.

Now this seems pretty cool at first but when she showed he mother, she wasn't so impressed. Blake had used that book back in 1982, so Parker's mother wasn't angry that the school was still using the same textbooks from over 4 decades ago.

"Marley is EXCITED that her 'new' reader belonged to Blake Shelton, but I am EMBARRASSED!!!! I'm 40 and these people are my age!!" Parker posted on Facebook.

Oklahoma educators are on a walk out for the 5th day at the state Capitol. They are protesting for more funding, and claiming their facilities, equipment and textbooks in their schools are run-down, outdated or in short supply.

"I just want the state to come to a resolution that will fully support teachers and their classrooms. As a former educator, this is very important to me. But as a parent, this is crucial as I want the best education for my daughter," Parker told CNN.
