Actor George Clooney credits his helmet for saving his life in bad motorcycle accident this week.
Clooney was traveling on a motor scooter in Italy with a friend when a car turned into his lane and hit him head on. Clooney's head hit the windshield and he credits his helmet for saving his life. It cracked in the accident and he complained of pain in an arm, his leg and pelvis. He was briefly hospitalized but is said to be doing ok. (CBS This Morning)
Surveillance video of the accident was obtained by an Italian newspaper and just released. Watching it you can see how close he was to being paralyzed of killed. If the car wasn't stopped, it may have been a way more tragic story. Glad he's ok!
