Delta Airlines issued a big apology and comped a mans flight, when he claimed he was forced to sit in dog poo on an Atlanta flight to Miami.
Matthew Meehan of Bay City of Bay City Michigan told WSB-TV 2, "Actual feces and it was all over me. I sat in it and it was on the seat, on the floor, the seat in front. And I was literally in it." He claims when he raised a fuss, flight attendants gave him 2 napkins, a mini-bottle and told him to sit down or get off.
Several other passengers helped give him other things to wipe down and a blanket to put over the seat, but he had to deal with the smell for the rest of the flight.
Delta claims a service dog had gotten sick on a previous flight, and it didn't get cleaned up in time. They issued this statement:
"On Nov. 1, an aircraft operating flight 1949 from Atlanta to Miami was boarded before cleaning was completed following an incident from a previous flight with an ill service animal," the airline said. "Delta apologizes to customers impacted by the incident and has reached out to make it right, offering a refund and additional compensation."
"The safety and health of our customers and employees is our top priority, and we are conducting a full investigation while following up with the right teams to prevent this from happening again. Upon landing in Miami, the aircraft was taken out of service to be deep cleaned and disinfected," the statement said.
Who is the A**hole that just left their dogs feces there and didn't try to help get it cleaned up? SERIOUSLY? So you just get off the flight and act like it's all good? I've got a couple neighbors who might be responsible! haha
