America's Oldest Woman Passed Away At 114

Born just outside of Atlanta on a farm near Stockbridge, Lessie Brown just passed away after reaching the milestone of the Oldest living person in the U.S.

Brown was rasied in the Atlanta area until she was 18, that's when she moved with her husband to Cleveland, OH where she spent the rest of her many years. She was blessed with three girls and two boys. Her husband, Robert Brown, died in 1991.

Lessie gave credit to the Lord for her long life and her family said they think it was the fact that she ate a sweet potato everyday for many, many years.

Nonetheless, Lessie is survived by several of her children, grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren... as well as The Varsity. That place will never die!
