Ever Wondered What The Bull Engineers See From The Top Of A Radio Tower

 

Some days when you think your job is hard, it's important to see the danger and hard work others have to deal with daily at work. If you fear heights, being a radio engineer is not the job for you. Watch this video of them replacing parts of radio tower, up where the planes fly!

This video of a recent change out of an antenna on a Florida radio tower will take your breath away. I can't imagine being up that high with strong wind trying to do my job. My nerves would be shot by the end of the day. Our radio engineers at 94.9 The Bull have to do things like this with our tower on a regular basis as well.

I'm just glad I work in a studio near the ground. That's the safest part of radio. I don't have a huge fear of heights but I also don't wanna be that high hoping my cable strap holds well.
