One Cobb County native and 2 other Georgia born women helped repeat the World Cup Championship for the FIFA Women's U.S. soccer team this weekend.
Emily Sonnett of Marietta, Morgan Brian of St. Simon's Island, Kelly O'Hara from Fayetteville where all members of the 24 women squad that has owned the World Cup for 8 straight years. This was the second time for Brian, and the first cup win for the other to ladies, according to WSB-2.
Sonnett graduated from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell and currently plays for the Portland Timbers.
O'Hara plays for Utah Royals FC and Brian plays for the Chicago Red Bulls. They all helped smash the Netherlands team 2-0 in an amazing match.
