A scary story out of Yellowstone Park when tourist got too close to a group of Bison and one started charging. A child was thrown into the air by the Bison. WARNING: Tough to watch!
A family was touring Yellowstone park Monday when a Bison went on the attack. Witnesses say a group of 50 or so where standing within 10 to 15 feet of the Bison for about 20 mins before it went on the rampage. A young girl wasn't lucky enough to escape, as her family ran away and she took the brunt of the 1-ton animal. She was rushed to the hospital in Odessa, FL at Old Faithful Clinic. She was later released with minor injuries, thank God!
The person who posted the video said the family was "invading the Bison's personal space" and petting the animal before it attacked. On the park's website it states: "When an animal is near a trail, boardwalk, parking lot, or in a developed area, give it space.
Yellowstone Park officials are investigating but their website warns park-goers: "When an animal is near a trail, boardwalk, parking lot, or in a developed area, give it space.
"Stay 75ft away from all large animals - bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose, and coyotes and at least 300ft away from bears and wolves.
"If need be, turn around and go the other way to avoid interacting with a wild animal in close proximity."
Sad story but glad it wasn't more tragic!
