Georgia and Atlanta are becoming the Hollywood of the South East and some major motion pictures filmed here this year are further proving that.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson just bought a huge pad in the Atlanta area because he films so much here and some pretty major top billing movies have scenes or full production that went down in the G-A this year.
Here's a list of a few major ones from this year (2019):
-Jumanji -Next Level (Newnan, Ansley Park and GA State Univ.)
-Richard Jewell (Olympic Park Oglethorpe Univ.)
-Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep (Convington, Canton, Stone Mtn, ATL)
-Ford V. Ferrari (Savannah)
-Avengers: End Game (The Gulch, 5 Points MARTA, Piedmont Park)
-Lady And The Tramp (Savannah and ATL)
-Zombie Land: Double Tap (Macon)
-Godzilla (Tunnell Hill and ATL)
-Anabelle Comes Home (Atlanta)
-Shaft (parts shot in ATL)
-Bad Boys For Life (Filmed at Atlantic Station)
Such a big year in film! Excited to see what movies I run across driving around ATL in 2020! Maybe catch "The Rock" at the grocery store or something.
