Weddings are getting creative during the social distancing era, this couple had a pretty amusing idea. Make carboard cutouts of all their guests so they can still see them.
Dan Stuglik and Amy Simonson, a Michigan couple, had their wedding planned for quite some time but with the pandemic they had to be creative on how to still have it. They still got married in front of a full church crowd on Saturday, but followed the social distancing guidelines.
About 160 guests where in attendance, but only in their cardboard form. The couple had cut-outs made of all the guests and set them in the church pews while they exchanged vows. A local packing company provided the human-shaped cardboard cutouts.
Dan says, "I didn't like the idea of Amy having to walk down the aisle with no one in the pews, that seemed like a very lonely walk, so I wanted something to represent the guests."
Of course, the real guest where allowed to watch the vows online while they happened too. That's awesome!!
