Outboard boat motor, pre-formed pond base and filtration... you got yourself a "Hillbilly hot tub"
Paul Vaughan, 65, lost his job as a salesman, so to keep himself busy, he's coming up with DIY projects like his new hot tub.
Vaughn found an old pond base, that he dug up from his garden. Then used the filtration system from the old pond to keep the water clean and a small outboard boat motor for the bubbles... BOOM Hot tub. For heat, he uses the sun and a 66ft pipe with direct sunlight, that the water runs through.
Vaughn is calling it his "Hillbilly Hot tub". The South Wales man told Fox News, "I use an outboard motor to create the bubbles, but I just put that on there for just a little bit of a joke, as a 'hillbilly style hot tub.' As far as the heating system, "It is not very efficient, but slowly, very slowly, it does the job."

This makes me think of my neighbor who just put in an above ground pool in his backyard.... of course it's a giant round metal livestock feeding trough. I actually though... "Genius!" #RedneckRoots
