Having trouble keeping patrons distant.. how bout an electric fence? One pub owner in the U.K. says it's working great!
Many people are inherently dumb and don't like to follow rules. This was never proven so much, than during this worldwide pandemic we're all experiencing. Business owners are coming up with creative ways to force people to stay away from each other and observe the social distancing, so we don't have go back to lockdown.
The owner of The Star Inn pub in Cornwall, England just put up an legit electric fence in front of the bar, to do just that. He said people where crowding his staff and each other, so he came up with a solution. Johnny McFadden said, "It's there for social-distancing. Before the fence, people were not following social-distancing and were doing as they pleased, but now people take heed to the guidance around social distancing."
He claims that he doesn't turn it on often but it can be turned on if needed. Several patrons claim they have felt the shock though.
