It's so exciting to see film crews in your own small town. Recently, Ozark and a new "Walking Dead" show where in mine.
Buford, GA doesn't see a lot of big-time things. It's a small, quaint little football town but film crews have found some pretty awesome spots to film recently. Ozark has several spots around Lake Lanier that it filmed it's season for Season 4 of the show that just came out. On episode 4, you can see signs that a man is driving by that says "Welcome to Boone", yet that is the historic downtown Buford shops.
Last week, AMC had filming crews back in Buford for its new series “Tales of The Walking Dead”.
According to the North Gwinnett Voice, Stalwart Productions was scheduled to begin on Main Street as early as Tuesday, Jan. 18 and film scenes off and on through Feb 4th. Trucks, lights, tents and crews were seen several times now on Main Street from South Alexander to Scott Street.
Katie Strickland, Buford’s director of strategic communications, told the North Gwinnett Voice “It’s a great way to showcase our town to the whole world,” Weeks said. “‘The Walking Dead’ is a successful series which I’ve actually enjoyed watching myself.”
One scene even warned locals that an explosion may be heard... not to give out any spoilers.
So if you see any Zombies in Buford... it's not the parents taking their kids to pre-school before they've had their morning coffee.
