Morgan Wallen by far had one of the biggest years in Country Music but no awards from the CMA's? With several nominations?!
Wallen's Dangerous album sold more than any other artists in Country Music over the past year with 3.5 million copies sold while Luke Combs (another one of the biggest names in Country) only sold about 75,000 of "Growin Up" and grabbed Album Of The Year. Morgan wasn't nominated in that category at all.
Wallen was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, which went to Chris Stapleton (AGAIN!). We get it, nobody has vocals like Stapleton and Morgan isn't the cleanest vocalist but he's definitely got his own sound. He also was up for Song Of The Year, which should've been a cake walk...but NOPE. I'd have picked him for that award at the very least!
Wallen also made the top category of Entertainer of The Year. He grossed almost 850,000 tickets sold and grossing over $109,000. Luke Combs who won last year and again this year, arguably had just as massive of a tour. He just sold out 37 of 39 dates on his world tour within minutes of them going on sale. Of course, it was a bit of a toss up between those two this year as the hottest ticket in Country Music, but I think Morgan should've been given his due this year.
Was there some politics that ousted him from getting any award this year?
Our Nashville correspondent Lindsay says no one got a bigger applause from the crowd than Morgan Wallen each time his name was announced. She also noticed Morgan's face visibly looked "Snubbed" as they called out the winner.

I think he should have and deserved it this year!
