Most people in Georgia know Devon Gales' story. He’s a former Southern University wide-receiver that was paralyzed in September 2015 after taking a hit during a football game against UGA kicker Marshall Morgan. On the play, Devon ended up fracturing his C6 vertebrae and has been confined since to a wheelchair. Although the events on that day were tragic something wonderful came out of it, a beautiful friendship. The guys have grown close so of course Marshall would want Devon there on one of the most important days of his life, his wedding day. Over the weekend, Marshall married his fiancée Madison Giddens and both Devon and his mother, Tanisha Deans-Gales, were in attendance.
In more good news, the University of Georgia announced that it was starting a fundraiser to help build Gales and his family a home. To donate, you can text "Devon" to 706-204-1707.
